NOTD // Nails inc. with InStyle magazine

Not usually my go to magazine of choice, but this month's edition in InStyle Magazine, retailing for only £2.50 exclusively at Tesco included a bit bottle of Nails inc. polish, with 3 to choose from. I decided to go for a gorgeous Barbie pink called Sugarloaf Sunset.

The other polishes on offer were a deep coral (more on the red side rather than orange) and a greyish/nude shade, with the pink taking my fancy.

As your trusty Nails inc. polish, this lacquer did not disappoint. It is easy to apply and leaves a gorgeous glossy finish. Nails inc. are one of the best nail polish brands around in my opinion, just a shame about the price tag. All their polishes last really well, several days before chips appear and the colour range is absolutely gorgeous. Just a few days left to grab yours!

Face Mask Mondays #4

This instalment features perhaps my favourite Montagne Jeunesse mask so far. This Strawberry Soufflé moisturising and purifying masque is of a thin consistency, with pink beads, similar to a gentle exfoliator.

Very gentle on the skin, the mask has cleansing properties and initially leaves the skin feeling very smooth. After the mask has been washed off it seems to bring out any impurities in the skin right to the surface. Although a little drying, this mask was lovely to use, leaving the skin feeling soft and fresh, it is winning as my favourite so far. With strawberry extracts and whipped cream, you can only imagine how amazingly scented this mask is, and I just could not get enough!

Have you tried any of these Montagne Jeunesse masks so far?

NOTD // Barry M Aquarium Collection Nails

After seeing so many snaps of various polishes from the Barry M Aquarium collection I knew I just had to get my hands on some! The colours are absolutely stunning so making a decision was difficult, but I decided to go for Pacific and Mermaid. Pacific is a gorgeous blue with a greeny hue when caught in the light, looks gorgeous by itself or with a top coat and Mermaid is a top coat with blue green and gold flecks.

(Pacific worn on its own)

Having had hit and miss experiences with other Barry M polishes I was unsure what to expect but these two were definitely a hit. Both formulas are easy to apply and last well for a good few days before any chips appear. I'm especially pleased with the top coat as the flecks actually come out even without the need to layer it up like crazy.

Pacific ^^

Mermaid ^^

Now I'll just have to refrain myself from getting all of the others in this collection.

Spring 2014 Favourites

Having not done a favourites post in absolute ages, I though I would combine the few bits I have added to my routine since the new year. A few months into this glorious season, here are the products I have been loving over the past few months.

Soap and Glory Sugar Crush body scrub. I remember watching Zoe (Zoella) review this absolutely agessss ago and when I discovered that I actually had this as part of a Christmas present I was over moon. Usually choosing shower gel over scrubs it was nice to switch things up and try something new. Oh boy, doesn't it smell deeeeeelicious! A zesty sweet lime scent makes this scrub so so edible, it is actually a struggle to refrain from trying just a little. The texture f it is quite nice, a little grainy, giving your usual scrub feel. Love love love this product! This gorgeous sweet and zesty scent is perfect for SS2014.

Models Own bubblegum moisturising lip balm. Smells amazing, feels amazing, what more can I say?

Herbal Essences Hello Hydration hair mask. I seem to have had this knocking around my bathroom cupboard for such along time yet never seemed to actually get round to using it, and oh boy have I been missing out! For around £3/4  this hair mask is very lovely and very affordable. I wouldn't quite go as far as support the Herbal Essences claim that it is a "deep nourishing intensive mask", but it does definitely hydrate my hair. It smells sweet and delicious and is an absolutely pleasure to work with. I find this is definitely one of the best nourishing masks I've used, as it leaves my hair feeling silky smooth but without weighing it down or appearing greasy. Massive bonus points!

Victoria's Secret Sweet Craving warm vanilla nourishing body lotion. Just like everything else this season, this body lotion smells insanely good! On a different vanilla spectrum to the hand cream, this product has a lighter but sweeter vanilla scent. This is an oldie which I purchased in the USA so they VS probably don't even make these anymore, but I thought I would give it a mention anyway.  I find the lotion a perfect consistency, not too runny not too thick and it absorbs into the skin very quickly. The only downside is that the moisture doesn't really seem to last, but this product is still a joy to use.

Sanctuary Spa mini body moisture spray, an ultra-light conditioning oil spritz for instant hydration and a healthy sheen.  This gorgeous scented moisture spray is ideal for on the go or when you need to get dressed quickly. It will be perfect for the summer months , leaving your skin feeling smooth and hydrating. Shame it's only a mini, but I'll happily purchase the full sized product.

The Body Shop vanilla bliss hand cream. This hand cream smells soooo so nice! Although a little wintery, the vanilla scent has something comforting about it. The cream has a thick consistency which I like, and the scent lingers for a fair while after application. In terms of actual hydrating properties, I haven't noticed much difference in my skin with or without it, but would happily purchase this again.

Have you tried any of these products? Were they a hit with you?
